Saturday night round up $20,000 Texas State Championships


    Been a long day of heated foosball play at the Texas State Foosball Championships! Events are running smoothly and plenty of participants and spectators are on hand. The open events are running smoothly and some great matches are set for tomorrow. Open Doubles winner's bracket final will pit Tracy McMillin and Terry Rue against Tony Spredeman and Brandon Moreland. McMillin and Rue overcame the Oklahoma team of Tommy Adkisson and Scott Nobles in a 5 game brawl. On the other half of the bracket,  Joe Hamilton was looking for another berth in the winner's bracket with partner Mike Archer but were foiled by Tony Spredeman and partner Brandon Moreland.

  Open Mixed Finals are now set. Tony Spredeman and Fe Rettazzini have fought through the loser's bracket for a rematch with Joe Hamilton and Gena Murray. Joe is looking for a big title win on Tour with his veteran World Champion goalie Gena Murray. This the making of a great finals with a rising star and a vet trying to play against one of the best players in the world teamed with a solid goalie.

    Open Singles was the last main event to begin with many matches set to play tomorrow morning. Tony Spredeman is already set to play the semi-finals of the winner's bracket with the other quarter brackets catching up. Yore, McMillin, Rue, Moore, Vanlandingham Jr., Blake Robertson. and Vick are all still on the winner side of the bracket.

     Sunday is going to be filled with exciting foos finals. It is well worth the trip if you are close with plenty of events yet to start. So if you're not here, there is still time to make your way to the tournament. *Correction*
 As stated in http://foosballmonk.blogspot.com/2013/05/saturday-afternoon-texas-state-foosball.html Joe Hamilton and Gena Murray beat Liz Hill and Tom Yore for the winners bracket. Joe and Gena have yet to play Tony and Fe in this tournament.
